A New York native, Coach Derwin grew up playing tennis on courts throughout the city and began competing in USTA tournaments at age 15.

A graduate of Manhattanville University and two-year team captain, Derwin enjoyed a strong collegiate career while also developing as a coach at Westchester Country Clubs, including Fenway and Metropolis.

He describes his teaching style as passionate, engaging, fun, and adaptable, and he is excited to call TCR home, help every player grow in confidence and skill, and build lasting relationships with his students and their families.
